before the Ole North Wind has had a chance to blow the trees naked ...
and transform the grass from green to brown ...
and turn to mush what remaining flowers and shrubs brave the dropping temperatures to display their dying beauty.

After a couple of days of toil, I have a clean and somewhat organized house. Yup! Even the basement! (And please! No comments on "How long will it stay that way, Sandy!" Let me savor its beauty and its short-lived uniqueness.). And yesterday, I added to its beauty and tidiness and put out my Autumn decor. I purchased some wonderfully fragrant Vanilla/Pumpkin Spice candles; so every tea light and votive holder waves to you as you pass with subtle sweetness. Hmmmmm!

This plus the crispness of the air, the sunshine and the changing leaves all contribute to my feeling of joy and contentment today.

As we say in Newfoundland:
"It's a LARGE day!"

Hard to believe it's only a couple of weeks until Thanksgiving. Where did September go?
It looks so nice! Feels good to be organized! If I can just get mine done!
Love Autumn and love the photos!
I do hope you enjoy your LARGE day! Having things cleaned up and decorated is a grand feeling. Pumpkin and Vanilla sounds like a wonderful fragrance. The smells of fall are delicious.
Ditto on loving autumn and love your decor. I too brought out my pumpkins and fall leaf decorations. Makes me feel like everything in life is new again. Made fresh by the crisp wind that blows here in Ohio.
Blessings to you in Canada and beyond.
I like that "It's a LARGE day!"
Love your deco stuff. I have put out some of my stuff too. Have yourself a 'Large' day.
I can't wait to put out our indoor fall decorations... we did some outdoor decorating and really enjoyed it. The kids love doing these kinds of things with me. They all dragged things out of the garage and helped choose where to station things. That is awesome that you have the whole house cleaned too... even the basement!! Way to go!! Your decorations look lovely!
