I got some wonderful bargains at 2 different yard sales I went to on the 13th. Let me share with you.
.
- The first is this pretty canvas ($3) that reminded me of Italy.
- Then we have this great stand-up retro looking fan for $2 (w/ 1" of slightly chewed cord which I covered with electrical tape). Someone's bad doggie allowed me to score!
- Then we have this fantastic bargain of an Electrolux vacuum cleaner for $10! My Kenmore is not a good vacuum; I could say that it sucked ... except it doesn't very well. I was a little aprehensive about spending $10 on an Electrolux that perhaps wouldn't work well. But it works like a dream.
- And how serendipitous! The next yard sale had 2 Electrolux bags for 25 cents each!
- Lastly, these gorgeous and comfortable slip-ons for fall ($6).
.
Considering I began the day with a delicious dark-roast coffee and a flakey almond croisant at the Farmer's Market, I'd say I did well for my $30!.
Happy shopping!

You had me ready for this Tom Sawyer deal where he got the fence painted and was paid. I thought you were going to get this stuff and sell it for more or something. Ain't aging disgracefully grand! Thanks for the fun post.
Love that canvas. The Electrolux? Well my first thought was - whatcha gonna do with THAT? Lamp? Art? Scare the cat? Use it never entered my mind. Can you tell housework is not a priority? Great finds!
Good morning Sandy, I agree, you scored very well for a morning of yard hopping. You gotta love it. I love the painting especially.
Hugs, Jeanne
The painting is really lovely, what a great find. I love the luck of finding vacuum cleaner bags to go with the vacuum. Life can't get any better.
You totally scored!
I would have screamed up and down to get my hand on a vacuum that sucketh!
Wow, an Electolux and a fan and shoes? You did really well. I love days like that. Pamela
