Tata for Now!

Like so many of you before me have done, I'm taking a sabitical from blogging.  I just don't seem to have enough time in the day/week/month to get it all done; and I never seem to get enough rest lately.  I'm cutting back a couple of things because God has been speaking to me about simplifying my life, and I need to listen to Him because He knows what's best for me.

I want to say a huge thank you for being my followers and my online blogging friends.  Thanks for the words of encouragement and support and thanks for having such great blogs yourselves -- for giving me cause to think sometimes, for making me laugh, and for all the wonderful recipes and the glimpses into your own lives.

I don't think my departure will be forever -- I certainly hope not!  But for now, I say adieu.  I shall try to keep up with you from time to time.  And if I find I have anything I really want to share, I'll certainly do that.

Now, let's find that book and that brew and that hammock in the cabin in the woods, miles from nowhere and technology and distractions. And let's listen to the birds and the lap of the waves and most importantly, let's rest!

Oh wait now!  That was my dream voice speaking.  Darn it!

It'll be more like let's cook dinner without yawning your way through; let's stop rushing from place to place and perhaps have a chance to stroll; let's spend some time in the hammock in the back yard; let's meditate on what God has given me to enjoy and let's see what else He has in store for me.

Let's get a good night's sleep!

See you later!

So many people that I follow are doing the same thing. It seems blogging has a life of about a year or two. There are things beyond the computer and we need to find time for all the beauty and people that surround us - like a hammock and sharing a glass of sweet tea (or wine) with a dear friend.

Au revoir, Sandi, I always enjoyed your positive, fun posts.

Enjoy your break. Stepping away gave me a better perspective of how I wanted to blog and was a great blessing. I hope you can find a nice hammock and enjoy it as some point they are wonderful, especially with a book! Hugs!

I left for 5 months and came back. I hope that you have a nice sabbatical. ENJOY the time off and do what you need to do.

You will be missed. Over the years I've seen a lot of bloggers leave and have met many new ones too. I hope your time away is good for you and that you won't be gone long at all. I've blogged so long now that my days wouldn't be complete without it. It's a habit I've enjoyed and will continue to do so as long as I can.

I'll miss your cheery posts, fabulous pictures and stories of daughters (of your heart as well as you own) - not to mention the wonderful world of international food you shared with us.

Hopefully, we bump into each other in town, at an art gallery or a Reader's Festival soon, Sandy. Take care and enjoy the sweet life :)

I have been looking forward to reading your posts every week, and it's quite saddening to hear you say good bye.

I have always stayed tuned to your post week by week and I feel a lot better reading your post. What I really liked about your blog are your "thrifting" adventures and the many mouthwatering cuisines that you captured oh so wonderfully.
