- National Caffeine Awareness Month. I plan on becoming more aware of how much I love a good latte and/or Mochachino.
- National Nutrition Month. Easy to do when it's also Bell Peppers and Broccoli Month and Berries and Cherries Month. I'm going to eat more raw veggies and less processed foods and take-outs.
Nutrition Month also includes such fun eating activities as:
- Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day Mar 8th (whole grain blueberry pancakes are on my menu);
- World Kidney Day on March 10th (and I think kidney beans in a good spicy chili could fit into this category!)
- Potato Chip Day on March 14th (baked chips with humus is healthy, right?)
- Chocolate Caramel Day on March 19th (just one, okay!)
- Chocolate Covered Raisins Day on March 24th (you can have several of these)
- Pecan Day on March 25th (a lovely sprinkle of chopped pecans on your yogurt is delicious)
And joy of joys! It's National Chocolate Week from the 20th to the 26th: I'm going to try my hardest to make sure I partake of more chocolate covered fruit than my coveted Snickers!
.
March is also Optimism Month (not hard when you think about spring and chocolate!) and contains National Sleep Awareness Week Mar 7-13 (another of my favorite activities), Universal Women's Week Mar 8-14 (WE ROCK!) and National Cleaning Week Mar 27-Apr 2. (Depending on how much chocolate you've eaten, this could mean personal cleansing as well as household!)
.
The only thing that's giving me cause for concern is Universal Human Beings Week from the 1st to the 7th. I mean, yeah, I do host international students thereby proving that I believe that all humans regardless of color and/or religious beliefs, etc etc are equal. But what about these humans?
.
- Pig Day Mar 1st
- Lips Appreciation Day Mar 16th
- Weed Appreciation Day Mar 28th
- and Mule (insert appplicable 3 letter synonym here) Day Mar 31st
.
Oops!
.Ah, don't mind me. I'm just celebrating Kick Butts Day Mar 23rd a little early. I'll be quiet now and begin practiving my National Common Courtesy Day Mar 21st. (As long as I don't have to practice Won't You Be My Neighbor Day Mar 20th with either of them!)

Those are some good takes on March. I think I will take in more chocolate with caramel and more fruits. And I love chocolate raisins too. Oh and the coffee - I'm aware of it and want more. By the way I'm having a give-away and it includes caffiene. I am also optimistic. I think I'm getting the hang of it here. Hope you have a great day and warmer weather is coming your way.
Guess we can celebrate whatever we want in March...Just pick one and go for it...
Wow! Who knew March was so jam-packed full of fun days?
Who knew there was so much more to March than spring! This was a fabulous post .. Happy Tuesday ..xo HHL
Woohoo...I'm throwin' caution to the wind and celebratin' chocolate covered raisin day!!!
Ahhh, March...closer to spring!
Have a fun day sweetie!!!
March sure is full of things to celebrate but mostly we'll be celebrating SPRING! I can hardly wait! Have a terrific Tuesday!
I learned so much from you today!
I will definitely celebrate Lips Day and Chocolate Day and I'm pretty sure that before the month is out I will jump on the bandwagon of Kick Butt day as well.
You are too funny.
YES I'm excited to have March here!
My goodness you have listed a lot of days to celebrate. Certainly chocolate week is an important week, and should be a national holiday, don't you think?
Love the snow white bunny. I get to add "the day I gave birth day" mid month. It is always all about me! I now have the excuse to drink all the coffee I want all month. Absolutely love it!
I'm definitely celebrating the chocolate days! Also, the pancake day before I head into the sleep week.
Looks like there is something every day to celebrate in March........some funny things
my hubby's birthday is March 19th, so THAT is a day I want to celebrate
Love your take on all things March, especially in regards to caffeine!
I saw your name on Olive Out's blogroll and just had to peek into the life of someone who is Aging Disgracefully. I've made this my own goal in life...:)
Will pop back and visit again!

What a busy month - who knew? Thanks for setting us straight - I need to go look again and take notes so I don't feel bad when I do some of these things. By the way on one of my posts recently I mentioned that our insurance carrier sent us things for Valentines Day saying chocolate is good for the heart. YIPPEE!!!
Oh my goodness, I see that I'm having kidney surgery on World Kidney Day! I'll take that as a good omen. [Stopping by from She who Seeks site, will be back for more!]
