Penultimate Normalacy

It's the day before my Xmas vacation has to end. The tree came down yesterday, so today is a "normal" day. It snowed in the wee hours; then at about 10 am, the freezing rain started.

It's a good day to stay put, read a good book and have muffins and tea: Oatmeal Banana-berry (with a sprinkling of chocolate flakes for good measure).

A good day to make Thai peanut soup and serve it up on trays with toasted ciabatta buns as we watch "Jack, the Giant Slayer" on the movie channel.

It's a good day to be tucked inside resting .........

cause it's back to work and school tomorrow.

I have been on holiday since December 24th and I don't know how I will haul my butt out of bed and off to work in the morning.
It has been snowing here too but I think the roads will be open... sigh.
Thai peanut soup sounds so tasty. Is it spicy. Mmmmm

Sounds like you had the perfect afternoon today. Good luck falling back into the normal routine tomorrow when you head back to work.

Yes, everyone will be going back to their normal routines after a nice long break. Much colder with a bit of snow here too. Hope your Monday is a good one.
