FERTILIZER FRIDAY - Jul 3.09

It's time for Fertilizer Friday with Tootsie at http://tootsietime.blogspot.com/

It stopped raining today and the sun came out. Bliss and joy!

The Bellflower is in bloom, although only this light pink came back this year and not the darker shade. I love bellflower, but it has the reputation of being a garden thug. So, I moved it next to the shed where the soil is not quite as good and, therefore, perhaps will force this plant to behave a little better.

This is a plant I bought at a roadside sale last year. I was told it was a wild primrose but it didn't bloom that season. I have half a dozen of them this year, all in bloom! Who knows, it may be a weed but it's pretty. Anyone else have any thoughts on what this plant is?

And I'm not sure what this little guy is. It's part of my "Larry Garden" and is fairly low growing and a spreader. Another prolific grower as well. Pretty

I love Foxglove. Here I have a pale pink/lavender and a white. Look at the inside detail of the bell. Beautiful.

I bought a yellow foxglove this season but I think I'll have to wait until next year to see it bloom.

When the Sweet William began to grow this year, I had no idea what it was but just that it wasn't a weed. It grew really tall and spindlely and it just didn't look pretty.

Isn't Sweet William supposed to look more round and compact? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or what it perhaps needs.

Anyway, I held out against pulling it, and it's blooming for me. Right now, it's lying across the path on top of the Anemone plant. But look at the blooms and the color!

And finally, here are two of my day lilies. Lots of blooms on these beautiful plants.

You're lucky to have so many flowers around you.

I've never seen foxglover before - how pretty! But then all of your blooms are pretty, very vivid. I can't help with identifications - I'm bad with flowers :P

I think the yellow follow is called Evening Primrose (not wild). Although it seems I was wrong about your pink flowers the other day, so don't count on me!
Some of my Sweet William flops over as well, but it's very pretty.

The second photo looks like Cherrybelle Campanula, and the third Evening Primrose. Isn't it great when all your hard work pays off with blooming plants?
