Not your ordinary Xmas slippers!

.

Are you aging?

Are you up and down at night, feeling your way in the dark for one of your frequent nocturnal trips to the bathroom?

Do you sneak downstairs in the dark to root out that last piece of chocolate cake before the kids find out it's still there?

Are you tired of stubbing your toes and whacking your hips on sharp corners?

.

Well say no more! I've found the perfect Christmas gift for us.

These LED slippers($40) allow you to easily move around dark areas without turning on any lights. Two powerful LED lights will illuminate up to 20-25 feet ahead and because of their build-in weight sensors, they automatically turn off when you remove the slippers. Ingenious!

.

So now, I'm waiting for the release of the matching night cap with lights. Aren't you tired of clocking your head on the cupboard door? So far though they haven't developed this idea.

.

.

But I did find this little beauty! Yes, I admit that it has it's drawbacks. It does require you to put the hat on your head and strap it under your chin. But it spins, people! It spins thereby giving you peripheral vision as well as straight ahead vision! Now you can catch the kids running back to their rooms when they hear you coming. Or your husband sneaking that forbidden cigarette in the laundry room.

.

Technology! It definitely has it's plusses!

Love those slippers! Not a hat person...but definitely a slipper person! They would be perfect on those nights the dog insists on going out in the middle of the night - I can usually find the door going, but once the outside light is off, my night vision is gone and I inevitably bump into a wall or two getting back to bed.

Can just imagine shuffling through the darkened house with those things. The cat might have a nervous breakdown!

That spinny hat will make your head spin also...dizzy...

I'm usually a hat person but this spinning one made me chuckle. What a contraption for your head. The colored lights might be okay, but that thing looks heavy. My head is BIG enough. LOL The slippers look like fun but $40. Kind of pricey. Think I'll stick with my mini flashight. I can see everything just not the floor. LOVED this. Take care.

Those slippers are far from ordinary for sure. What will they think up next? Not a bad thing at all to see where you are going at night. Hope your Thursday is a wonderful one!

Hey, I do believe my little MIL would benefit havin' some of those 'head~light' slippers!

The lighted headdress just looks like loads of fun to me. Can't ya just see me chasin' the grandkiddos 'round in the dark with that???

I started to say the wild~eye cattle instead of the 'littles' but spinnin' lights would only freak 'em out more.

God bless and enjoy this wonderful day!!! :o)

I have seen those slippers advertised somewhere. Very clever. There are those headband lights one could wear for midnight meanderings too. For me, I don't want to open my eyes to wake up so I just guess where I'm going out of habit!

I just love those shoes..where can I get them.I would be able to see the spiders lurking on the floor just waiting to scare me....the hat might cause a bit of a furore though.

Only a gal with a shoe fetish would find slippers like that. LOL Will you be purchasing a pair? If so I really think you need the hat, after all the whole ensemble will be a fashion hit. LOL, LOL!!!

I must be old because I love those slippers! OK, so I don't eat in the middle of the night, but I do get up to go to the bathroom 1-2 times a night. And, sometimes have mom-insomnia when my son is out too late. ;-)

Love those slippers. They would be good when I first turn out the lights and get lost trying to find the bedroom.

Those slippers are so completely de-light-ful! :) I could really, really see myself wearing them (and no doubt entertaining the cat greatly in the process!).

Thank you very much for your comment over at Chronically Vintage today, I sincerely appreciate it. Great point about the lack of seat belts - perhaps though, they figured that if one crashed such a personal flying saucer, seat belts weren't going to do much to save you.

Big hugs & cheerful Monday wishes,
