Happy 145th Birthday Canada! |
Today will be filled with good food and celebration. We have a barbeque after church which will feature my rhubarb punch and strawberry/rhubarb cheesecake squares (and someone else doing the cooking and cleaning up; it can't get much better than that!)
And later at home beginning at 5 pm until fireworks time, I'm hosting my 4th annual Ladies Sangria Party which will feature more of those cheesecake squares and 2 different sangrias -- the traditional red as well as a new one, a white made with watermelon puree.
All this and my 3 girls together! Good stuff!

I hope your celebration is a great one. Our countries birthday is July 4th, but we began our celebration early as it is on a Wednesday so we are starting this weekend. Lots have to work Monday and Tuesday yet.
Have a wonderful Canada Day!
Happy Canada Day. Watermelon puree made into Sangria sounds thirst quenching. ENJOY your celebration.
Happy Canada Day!!! It sounds like you have wonderful plans. Have fun.
Love Di ♥
Sounds like you have planned a fun filled day. Be careful of the Sangria; it tastes so good and before you know it, you may have trouble just pronouncing it.
Happy Canada Day! maybe you've written about this before but I missed it. Have you shared the recipe for your squares? They sound wonderfully and I happen to have both strawberries and rhubarb to use up right now.
