IT'S REDNESDAY!

I'm gonna carry my big red purse today. So, I need to transfer from my yesterday purse. Wanna peek? *
Here's my red leather change purse. I love this little thing! Why?Because it's "stretch and/or collapse"! It can hold an amazing amount of loose change. But I empty it daily, and most goes into my "fun money" jar. But it could hold a lot ... if I had a lot for it to hold!*
Hmmmm; what else is in here?

*
Oh!! There's my breast exam reminder card that I've been looking for! You know, if I hadn't taken a picture, I probably would have missed it again. See how useful blogging is!
*
There's my red card holder on the right. And my favorite leather wallet on the left.
*
*
"Any money in that one?" you ask.

Nope! Just me and my sweet girlies guarding my plastic!
*
*
Which reminds me ................
*
There's one more red thing that I have. My personal finances!
*
I ain't had a raise in 4 years; the cost of living keeps sky-rocketing; and my dang children keep aging so I lose my government funded child tax credit or they work so I can't claim them on my income tax.
*
*
Yup! Just ask my financial adviser! It doesn't have to be Rednesday for me to be operating in the Red**. It's pretty consistent in this household.

*

But do I let that get me down? No way! I have another constant besides my dwindling financial worth and my weight gains --- GOD! (And, of course, my enviable good looks!) If it weren't for those, why I might get depressed! So, I guess you could say that I'm "in the pink" while I'm "in the red"!!

*
And God: Just where is that rich Italian who (when walking behind me) doesn't mind my "ample intelligence"??

I carry a red purse the month of February. I have a couple of them in case I tire of one I can switch around. I've not had a raise in over 4 years either, and I know how you feel about that. Still, I have enough so I guess I'm in the pink too even though I'm in the red.

LOL Get yourself on a plane to Italy!
But if driving on the 401 is any indication, the man you are looking for is in PQ!

Talk about living in the red. . . I took a major pay cut last April when I decided to retire. Went from a high 5 figure income to a very low 5 figure income, and thanks to the economy, my 401K has taken a major dive also, which means I can't take money out of it unless I want to absorb a major loss. Yikes! I'm actually thinking about finding a part time job. Not what I had in mind for my retirement years!

You're so funny Sandy! I hope you find that Italian who enjoys your ample intelligence!
Love your red bag and accessories! I have a red wallet that I use on and off, that I've had since the 70s! Now there's one well-made wallet!
Happy REDnesday!

So, so funny! If I'd read the name of your blog before today, I'd have saved the $24.95 I spent on eye-wrinkle cream and have joined you aging disgracefully.I can't wait to tell my bff about this...hahahaha

You are too funny and I've always found that's what ya need, a good sense of humor, to keep going and make it when you are a single mom.
Keep the great posts coming too.
Hmmmm I remember years ago having a white summery dress with red shoes, purse, earrings, bracelet and belt. It was really fun to wear. Now where did that go?
Oh and by the way even though I can't send you the Columbine I CAN send ya some seeds at the end of summer when I get more. I had a kazillion of 'em in the greenhouse but I think a little critter found them and had a feast because they just disappeared!!!

Oh I would love for you to find your rich Italian!!
finances in the Red ---I have been there done that. Govt. loves to take our money eh.

I used to save all my coin change too --would NEVER spend it, and before I moved up here I had saved almost $1200 when I took it in to the bank!!!!!!!!
it PAYS OFF to save those coins. But it took me awhile.
