Thrifty Thursday Feb 6.11

.
After not being able to thrift for 7 weeks, I had fun while my daughters were home over Christmas. So today, I'm joining Leigh at Tales from Bloggeritaville for Thrifty Thursday . Let's start with my local thrift shops.
.
At Frenchies, I got this great summer dress, brand new ($34.95 tag) for $3.85.
.
And in case you didn't notice yesterday's post, I got this lovely felt hat, again brand new ($18.95 tag) for $1.85. [The broach was bought at VV last winter for $1.99.).
I dropped into The Daisy on Tuesday and found this beautiful necklace for $2 and the 100% cotton turtleneck for $3.50.
.
The coral colored leather purse was expensive at $4..
Then on Tuesday the 29th when I took my eldest to the airport, we dropped into the city and went to Value Village. I got these 2 t-shirts for $3.99 each.

.
I also got a lovely 3/4 length brown wool coat which needed all it's buttons reattached; it's now at the dry cleaners, so you'll have to wait for that reveal. But I have begun looking for flats as I'm not sure how well my foot will react to a heel for a few years. I found these 2 pairs for $3.99 and $4.99).

However, as you can see, my right foot is still a little swollen. Healing takes time, I guess!
.
But I am walking on my own now; I'm not walking well, but I am walking! And you know what that means ...
.
If I can walk, I can thrift!

Ahhhh! My world is slowly be set to rights again!

I love the new header! You have been lucky with your new finds. I'm not as fortunate when I drop in at Frenchy's in Bridgewater. Maybe I should try the Lunenburg location. Love that purse and your foot is looking much better in those elegant shoes. :)
