What a busy week. I've hardly had time to stop and smell the roses! But I have; it's therapeudic!.
Friday again -- it's that grand (as we say in Newfoundland)!

The batteries in my camera died last Friday so I didn't make it for Fertilizer. But I'm back again, blooming all over the place. Days of lovely rain have been followed by a Thurs and Fri of sunshine. So here's this week in my garden.

.And speaking of smelling the roses -- Unfortunately, there is no scent to these tea roses :( ..... but they are covered with buds and blooms and looking so beautiful!
. Look at this sweet surprise. This is from my Mum Brown garden; I transplanted the Creeping Phlox, it bloomed, and now this little stow-away has emerged. I believe it's a variety of Dianthus.

And here's another surprise. This plant was sold to me as a Foxglove, but that's certainly not what's blooming. Any ideas on what it is? Weed? Or worthy keeper?

.Just before I took this picture, I discovered 2 bettles on top of the petals mating! As well as being the scourge of the lily-lover, they are voyeurs, have no fear and no sense of decency!! (And right in front of a lonely widow woman! That one hurt.) So, I crushed them under foot!

.It's the first year for this one in the garden. Isn't the color spectacular!

The Campanula are very pretty next to the shed.

And this very pretty sedum is scattered in several places under the ferns.

The Lady's Mantle I bought this spring has taken nicely and is ready to open it's blooms. I love this old-fashioned flower.

And I took a picture of the Ajuga just because I think the colors are so nice.

I think your "foxglove" might be a daisy! Let it go to seed and you'll have plenty of baby daisies next year.
The color of that rose is amazing -- I feel as if I can touch it right thru the monitor screen. But if I tried, my husband would yell, "Hey don't put your fingers on the screen!" :-P
Lily beetle? Never heard of it! ACK! something else to worry about!
BTW thank you for the bright blue paint suggestion for Lucy the chair -- brilliant! I am getting wonderful suggestions today for my porch furniture!

Your garden makes me happy too and a wee bit jealous. I love lady's mantle (sp?) but I just can't get it to grow where I want it to. Same with the campunela (sp?). Your flowers look so pretty and shame on those beetles. Couldn't they have found a room?
Lovely pictures. I saw a few familiar plants there that are also around my house. I used to have a lady mantle but I didn't see her this year so perhaps the winter did her in. I also have the sedom everywhere around the house. It has even come up in the crack between the steps and the back patio.It's a grand Friday here too!

Your Ajuga has such pretty foliage and the Columbine is so pretty. I have some of that yellow blooming sedum and do not know the name of it but it is a spreader isn't it. I am pulling it up in all the wrong places every summer LOL!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. You have some pretty flowers there! I love that campanula. It looks so homey in that location. I have that kind, too, but I think the spot it's in is a bit too crowded with other plants. It is in bud, but there are no flowers yet.
That's a cute dinanthus. I grow several kinds of them, too. Yesterday, I got some annuals on sale. I chose a geranium with another plant, jewels of Opar, in it on purpose so I could have 2 plants for the price of one. ;o)
Your mystery flower could be a type of fleabane, but I'm not sure.
The flowers are blooming, the bugs are mating...Gosh Sandy, I think God might be preparing you for something...called a man. Spring is in the air! Except that it's summer, but who cares? The fact is I think I'll start praying in a man in all his glorious 'manhood' for you, the lonely widow woman. So, get ready! :)p.s. the garden is lovely!
