ABC's of ME

Life is so busy here that I've resorted to stealing ideas from other blogs. This is one I came across a while ago, but I think it's fun and I hope that you'll follow suit so I can learn more about my bloggie friends. Thanks to http://aimee-weaver.blogspot.com/ for the inspiration!

A - Age: 56 this Sunday. But as we're celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving that day, I'll allow the girls to pamper me on Saturday!

B - Bed size: Double. An iron & brass beauty

C - Chore you hate: Cleaning the fridge

.

D - Dogs names: Childhood dogs - Sport and Mitsey. Then we had a Cody and Jennie.

E - Essential start your day item: Devotions ... and a yogurt smoothie w/ 1/4 rolled oats thrown in.

F - Favorite color: Blue; it has always been blue.

G - Gold or Silver: Both please? Ok, probably silver.

H - Height: 5 ft 3 in ...... Sing with me now "Hey shortie; it's your birthday!"

And I may "pardy" but I won't "drink Bicardi"!

I - Instruments you play: Piano -- very primitively and badly!

J - Job title: Office Administrator (which only means there's no one else to do all the crap that this little office requires, from bookkeeping to composition of letters to cleaning the toilet). AND my favorite job, Mama!

K - Kids: 5 girls - 4 living.

L - Living arrangements: A lovely wee duplex w/ 1.5 baths and 3 other bodies!

M - Mom's name: Evelyn Gwendolyn (Isn't that romantic sounding!)

.

N - Nicknames: O'Miles (began one St Patrick's Day) and Snoopy or Chicken Neck (a couple from my Ex!)

.

O - Overnight hospital stay other than birth: A week when I was 10 and I had an alergic reaction to pennicilin after a dog bit me.

.

P - Pet Peeve: Biggest one is not refilling the Britta in the fridge. But I also hate the wet bath mat being left on the floor & not fluffy the sofa cushions and throw pillows just before you go up to bed.

Q - Quote from a movie: "I don't know nothin' bout birthin no babies, Mss Scarlet!”

R - Right or left handed:Right

.

S - Siblings: 2 brothers and 2 sisters

.

T - Time you wake up: Anytime between 7 and 7:30. My built-in post-menopausal alarm clock is not always exact; but it doesn't have a shrill or annoying buzzer either.

U - Underwear: Cotton boy-shorts usually with the occasional lacy number

.

V - Vegetable you dislike: eggplant

.

W - What makes you run late: My students

.

X -X-rays you've had: I can't remember many; the last was on my chest when I developed pneumonia

.
Y - Yummy food you make: Anything sweet, fresh bread & rolls, delicious soups, turkey dinners -- I'm a good cook. Hmmmm! I've made myself hungry now!

Z - Zoo animal: Probably gorillas - I've never seen one in real life
