.Today's Rednessday reminds me of what I did this weekend. I changed out my summer bed linens.
..
Off came the light, blue sheets; and on went these crisp, heavier cotton ones.
Then off came the cream-colored woven coverlet & white eyelet bed skirt; and on went the red toille quilt, striped bedskirt and pillow shams. Just warm enough for the cooler nights lately..
I'm also reminded of the redness of autumn as I look out my kitchen window. There's the vibrancy of my neighbour's beautiful Burning Bush (something for my little sprig to aspire to someday!). As well, there's the Virginia Creeper vines that both my neighbour and I are growing.
.
.
.
And there are several colors of autumn reflected in this delicious Cortland apple.
The Cortlands are a "limited time offer" apple: they are only around for a month or two as they don't last past that time. So, I'm savoring the few I have left before I head off to the Farm Market to choose another variety. Aren't Fall foods wonderful!.

Very nice...thanks for sharing...blessings,Shelley
This time of the year, you can see so much pretty fall colors. I just use the same linens all year till winter(to clarify, I do wash and use different sheets). I put on flannel ones then. I tend to stay cold.
I love to change my bed linens to a more winter look myself. Love your red toille quilt!
I love the toile throw too. What a perfect color to end the day with!
Love the toille quilt!... and I can't talk the husband into heavier sheets.. forget flannel!...
We have two beautiful burning bush at our driveway entrance, they are glorious right now.
My two favorite varieties of apple are Macoun and Honey Crisp.
...and here I thought I'd done went and tried every kind of apple on earth. Yep, call my Eve! Heeeehehe.
We once took our Special Ed. class to Wally World to buy each and every kind of apple but shoot take it, there were no Cortlands.
Cooler temps blew in a couple of nights ago on 50-60 MPH winds. Sad to say the old furnace is runnin'.
I always enjoy your Rednessdays. You have a great one too!!!
God bless ya :o)
We changed out our linens two weeks ago, and wouldn't you know it the last three days have been a taste of Indian summer, yesterday's high was near 80. So, unlayering the bed each night to make it bearable now. Naturally, the weather predicts a high of 41 next week. Aaaahhh....the fall in CNY, have to wonder if Mother Nature can't make up her mind!
We enjoy all of the crisp varieties of apples in the fall, too. That is one thing I do love about fall, the delicious apples. Other than that, I'm ready to hibernate and wait for spring. :) Have a great week!
A lovely post! I love Cortland apples.
I was just saying this morning that the heavier winter bedding needs to come out - - SOON!!
Blessings!
Gail
