Friday Afternoon Swing

I lay in the swing, gently rocking myself with the arm resting over the top of my head. I read for a while; then I looked around and thought:
.
"Ummm! It looks magical under those ferns! Hmmmm! I wonder who would paint something on the side of my shed?"

.
.
Then I looked up and swung. Ahhhh, so beautiful!
.
.
Then I slept to the sounds of birds chirping and kids biking and the occasional truck rumbling by on the main road.
.
Friday afternoons don't get much better than this!

Sounds wonderful. I must really make a plan to retire so I will also have Friday afternoons to snooze away... but until then, enjoy yours.

Peaking in at your blog and see we are both reading the same book. I am almost finished and I can't wait to find out the ending. I see there are now 2 more books in the series. Let me know where you are in the book and if you like it.

I love that kind of peace. I too have a porch swing and I love to sit there and "hear the sounds of nature" and "the sounds of silence" which allows MY thoughts to be heard a little better.
