Fertilizer Friday 28 May 2010

TGIF for me means "weekend!"and Fertilizer Friday with Tootsie.
.
It's been a cool and overcast with sunny breaks this week. And after last weekend's toil in the garden, I've been resting up and finally getting over my cold.
.
So let's see what's blooming in Bridgewater.
.
.

Wild geramium
.

I've been calling this Beauty Bush; but I believe it's actually Candytuff.
.
My first Columbine to bloom .
The Lamium still hasn't opened, but it's sooo close!
.
The Primrose is still spectacular.
.
And this beautiful Iris has graced me with it's presence. I have several planted, but each year, I only get this one blooming. Advice anyone?
.
The Meadow Rue is blooming. I love the airy-ness of this plant..
.
Tomorrow there are several church yard sales in town, all of them known for their great plants and prices. I'll be up early tomorrow.
.
Have a wonderful weekend!

You already have so many wonderful plants there in your garden it is hard to believe you are going after more. You do have a wonderfully large space though so I imagine you find room for more. Have a fantastic Friday!

Love that candytuft. Beautiful blooms. Haha - I forget what I plant, too. Thanks so much for sharing.

Everything is looking really great in your gardens. That does look like Candytuft. And I love your white Columbine. I took seeds from my Moms but they didn't take. Dang!

I am so impressed with how much I am learning about flower names by visiting your blog!! A few of these I knew but most of them I did not know! Hope you have a great time at the sales this weekend.

Hi there, Beautiful primroses. I can not get mine to bloom more than once a year.
Have you tried fertilizing the Iris's with cow manure? That's what I use in all my gardens.
Just a thought.

Oh, Candytuff, that's what it's called. I have this plant too.
Beautiful flowers you've got in your garden.

You have beautiful blooms. My primroses are already faded but it was 37C this week after all. Imagine that hotter than Mexico!

Ack! I think I've been weeding away wild geranium in my yard! Oops! (A new yard plus a novice gardener can be a dangerous combination.)

Can't wait to hear about the plant sales! I love the Rue, so pretty and delicate, I bet it looks nice in a breeze. Sorry, no advice on the Iris... :)

Thanks for visiting my blog on Fertilizer Friday, I love your wild geranium and the meadowrue, both favorites of mine.

I used to do a lot of yard saling, but had to quit, I was collecting too much junk. Can't wait to see what you got.
