I did this once.
She was about 9 months old; we had moved to a new town where I didn't know anyone; hubby was attending school on the other side of the province and boarding 4 nights a week; I had a head cold and just wanted to sit by myself for a few minutes. But baby kept following me around and crying and wanting UP! Well, we were both crying!
So, I got right in the middle of the playpen where she couldn't touch me. We both cried for a few minutes. Then I got out, and picked her up and kissed her and cuddled her and NEVER did it again.
Do I deserve a good Mother's Day?
You bet I do!
I had no idea of how many years she and her sisters would get me back for that one.
Ahhhhh, but I adore my babies!

Happy Mothers Day to You! You do deserve it! Enjoy your special day!
I had a double take on this on - LOL. I DID that. Both girls were driving me mad and I climbed into the playpen with my book and they proceeded to destroy the living room.
I lasted an hour and only climbed out when they had both fallen asleep on the floor. They were exhausted from the excitement.
Happy Mum's Day to you!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
That is just too funny! Yes, you deserve many wonderful Mother's Days!
Simply love reading your blog posts. This is funny. I can just see you in the play pen.
Hope you had a great mother's day.
We all deserve more than one day a year to celebrate. Should be one day a week.
Thanks for making me smile!
I think most mothers have had those moments, and well deserved moments they are! We all need a little breather now and then. I asked a young mother at church if she had any plans for mother's day, she said all she had asked for was to take a shower without being interrupted...that says it all doesn't it?
