Thrifty Thursday Mothers Day Treats - May 12.11

Last Saturday morning, I attended the secondhand jewellery sale held by a local women's centre. My budget was $20; I went over by $3! And look at the goodies I got (some of which will be gifts for others).
I love a pretty ethnic bracelet, and I didn't have a simple gold chain. These were $3 each.

The three bracelets, necklace and the set of triple matching earrings were $2 each..

The necklaces below were $2 each and each pair of earrings was 50 cents. (Click on the pictures for enlargement.)

One of
my favorite

These cream colored
faux pearls are
another favorite

What a fun Mother's Day gift to myself. And where else can you get 19 pieces of jewellery for $23?

I am so jealous, I want some. I love vintage jewelry, that is on my list of things to find at this summers yard sales. Jewelry never goes out of style and you can mix old and new together. Great finds, can't wait to see what you pair them with:)

Awesome finds. And I LOVE the idea of thrifting and gifting--you know there'll never be any chance of giving someone a duplicate gift! Nice work!

Think of ALL the money that would be saved across the world....If we ALL only bought 2nd hand stuff and recycled things others no long want and WE DO.
I think that would be pretty awesome.

Well, I like your style!

Shoot, I am struggling with how to stuff a duvet, and would not even think to go look at pretty little things just because it is fun.

I could take lessons from you. :)

The ethnic bracelet looks a few steps above costume jewelry but its hard to tell. Its beautiful! BTW I get really excited when I come across a blog that loves Ann of Green Gable. My second favorite of all time but a serious close to my first, The Little Princess, oh the values she taught me!
